Eyes Change

People's eyes are different depending on their circumstances. People change their minds.

 

A large 86cm square painting came into my house. “How could such a big picture fit into my one-bedroom apartment?”. I was concerned. It felt incredibly big. But over time, it started to feel natural. “It has to be that big to be able to see from a distance.” This is how my view changed.

The mindset I had when I was young and the mindset I have now at over 60 are very different. Having lived away from Korea for more than half of my life, the world I see has changed a lot. If you live away from home, you will encounter many difficult things. Everyone needs grace from other people. I must humble myself to receive it.

I often call on the name of the Lord. After going through a lot of hardships, I feel at peace now, even when I face difficulties. I was a fundamentally negative person, but I quickly changed my mind to be hopeful and positive. I can laugh even when I want to cry.

 

People’s eyes are meant to change. Our minds are changing too.
