Grandma's Teacher

My grandsons and granddaughter are my teachers. I want someone to ask about my grandchildren. The moment someone asks, I get excited, and out comes one comment after another. At some point, I become the wretched grandmother who talks too much. 

 

When I look at the childhoods of my grandchildren when they were just born, I am hopeful. They raised their heads while moaning and crawling. It's amazing what kind of power came out when they were crawling. When they first started walking, they often fell. It happened again and again. But, they patiently learned how to walk because they kept trying. I see the behaviors of my young grandchildren trying to live. Seeing something like this affects me too. I say they’re alive and they make me feel that I’m alive too! Seeing their struggles teaches me how to live, and I learn how to live through my grandchildren.
