텍사스에서 살아가는 이야기
Hometown Spirit 본문
We shouldn’t try to live like Americans. The older I get, the more I look for hometown food that my mother made when I was young. My mother enjoys the fermented skate sashimi, known as Hongeo. She also likes to eat cooked fish. I cannot list everything.
If you are very sick, you will get better if you eat your hometown’s food. When you are extremely angry, cursing in your hometown language will relieve your stress. And if you are really happy, the exclamation used in your hometown’s language comes out of your mouth. There was even a song from my hometown that was sung.
“The hometown where I used to live was a mountain in bloom.”
Whenever I see azaleas and chrysanthemums, I think of my father. What I cannot forget in my heart is the hometown where I was born and raised.
